Features

Accessing your EE control panel on your mobile device has never been easier. Install this add-on onto your ExpressionEngine site and it will automatically detect when a mobile device (iPhone, Blackberry, Palm Pre or any other mobile device) is accessing the admin.  Once logged in you will see see a sleak interface on your mobile device with access to the following areas of your CP and their corresponding functionalities:

• Site Stats
• Publish
• Edit
• Templates
• Communicate
• Members

Want the sleek look of this add-on but concerned because you occasionally need access to other areas of the control panel? No problem.  You can switch back to the "Classic" view of the control panel very easily by clicking the "Classic" button on the top left of CP Homepage

This add-on is also MSM (Multiple Site Manager) compatible.

Installation

It's easy. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Purchase EE Mobile Admin and download the file.
2. Extract the .zip file to your desktop
3. Upload the entire mobile_admin_theme directory to your /theme directory
4. Upload the entire mobile_admin directory to your system/extensions directory
5. Upload mobile_admin.php to your /system directory and any other directory used for masked CP access
6. Upload lang.mobile_admin.php to your system/languages/english directory
7. Upload ext.mobile_admin.php to your /system/extensions directory

NOTE: If you have installed an older version of EE Mobile Admin and you want to update with this version you must remove the old mobile_admin folder from your /system director

Activation

To activate EE Mobile Admin:

1. Log in to your sites administration with your computer
2. Open the Extensions Manager
3. Enable Extensions if not already enabled
4. Enable the EE Mobile Admin extension
5. Click the Settings option for the EE Mobile Admin extension
6. Enter the License Code which was sent to your email and change any other options within the settings.

Now the EE Mobile Admin will automatically detect when you are viewing the site on any mobile device.

Updates

We will be continually adding to the functionality of EE Mobile Admin based on user feedback and feature requests. Any updates to the add-on will be freely available to anyone who has already purchased a license.

Configuration

The EE Mobile Admin Has 2 configurable settings

1. To activate the extension you must choose "Yes " for the Active option.
2. When viewing the classic control panel on a mobile device you can have an option for an icon to appear next to the site title which will bring you back to the mobile control panel. To turn this option on choose "Yes " for the Show Icon in Control Panel option.

Also, mobile users can login at the system/mobile_admin.php page instead of the regular mobile system/ login.  Both will log the user in to the mobile admin but system/mobile_admin.php has the mobile interface.
