Hi there,

I’ve just bought this extension for when I get around to re-designing my website, whilst the introductory price is in effect. However, as I’m eager to test it out, I’ve just tried installing it on a live site that I have in development.

I’ve followed the instructions, but when I go to the login page on my iPhone, it just won’t accept my username and password, even though they’re definitely correct.  The login page just keeps loading again (it’s not a masked control panel).

Any ideas?  I wondered if this was an issue due to the fact I registered it in the name of another domain?  Also, the license code field was already populated when I went into the Extension options, albeit, with a meaningless code that wasn’t my license code, so I entered the correct code but still no joy.

hi stephen, it sounds like your login details are not being accepted and thats why you keep getting brought back to the login page. can you try logging in on the same page from your computer and see if that works.

if you have the wrong license code then you’ll get a message telling you that once youve logged in but it shouldnt be causing the login problem you are having.

Hi Ben,

I’ve just gone to the URL in Safari on my Mac and it doesn’t accept my login details there either.

But going to my proper control panel URL allows me to login fine, so I’m definitely using the correct login details, and am definitely not using a masked control panel.

Any ideas on this?

hi stephen, can you send me the urls you are logging in at by private message please, both for mobile admin and regular CP. i’ll see if i can spot the problem. we’re releasing an update later this week which will address masked control panel access and may also resolve this issue.

I was about to send you the URL’s and a login but I then had a thought about what it could be, and I managed to pinpoint this issue.

As this EE build was based on my development build, I had the following line in my config.php file in order to prevent any issues from logging into the control panel after deployment from MAMP to the live domain:

Removing this line then allowed me to login fine.

I’ve moved this to the registered domain and it now works fine!

Thanks - though it took quite a bit of meddling to eventually figure out this simple issue!

Think FieldFrame support would be really excellent by the way!
